Salary: HK$51,545 per month

Entry Requirements:

(a) Three years of relevant full-time work experience in IT, including at least one year of hands-on experience in managing IT infrastructure and one year of hands-on experience in IT security;
(b) A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related disciplines from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(c) Excellent communication and liaison skills;
(d) Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
(e) Strong experience in the following technologies/ products would be advantageous: VMware virtualisation platform, routers and switches, Microsoft Active Directory, endpoint security software, and firewalls;
(f) Holder of IT related certification(s) would be advantageous, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Project Management Professional (PMP);
(g) Holder of IT security related certification(s) would be advantageous, such as Certified Information Security Professional (CISP; 註冊信息安全專業人員) from CNITSEC; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from International Information System Security Certification Consortium ((ISC)2); and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)/ Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA); and
(h) Meet the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” result in the Use of English paper and “Level 1” result in the Use of Chinese paper in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent (see Notes (a) to (c)).

Note:

(a) Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese (UC) paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English (UE) paper of the CRE. Level 4 in Chinese Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UC paper of the CRE.
(b) Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. Grade D in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 1 in the UC paper of the CRE.
(c) An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period.

Duties:Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is looking for a confident, experienced and enthusiastic applicant to join our Information Technology Team as Deputy Manager, Information Technology. In this role, you will need to maintain and enhance existing information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems to fulfil Government IT security policies and guidelines, resolve complex IT issues, provide efficient and effective IT support services, and assist in managing IT projects.

(a) To implement Government IT policies and guidelines and assist in IT technical support (including computer room operation, system server hardware and software, network hardware and software and communication network links, etc.), in order to facilitate the operation and maintenance of IT systems and services;
(b) To provide customer-focused and results-oriented IT support services to users, including help-desk services, troubleshooting user problems and product evaluation;
(c) To monitor security vulnerabilities, mitigate and resolve IT security risk to ensure compliance with Government IT policies and guidelines;
(d) To perform tasks on incident handling, problem resolution, and change management;
(e) To assist in project management and coordinate tasks for various IT projects; and
(f) To perform general administration and ad hoc duties assigned by supervisors.

(Remarks: Appointee may be required to work in non-office hours or overtime on a need basis.)

Terms of Appointment:Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for three months and the term will be extended up to an accumulative period of not more than 24 months subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of Invest Hong Kong. Under normal circumstances, there will usually be further renewal of contract, subject to the performance and conduct of the applicant, and the service need of the department.

Fringe Benefits (a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave and the entitlement of annual leave will be calculated on pro-rata basis for appointment less than 12 months. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
