The appointee(s) will be required to:
- conduct R&D activities in AI, Machine Learning and emerging technologies;
- develop and evaluate applications using Deep Learning, LLMs, Generative AI, AI Agents, RAG, Multimodal AI and Computer Vision;
- perform data preparation, model training/fine-tuning, experiments, benchmarking and validation;
- develop proof-of-concept AI applications and assist with system integration and deployment;
- assist in developing AI-enabled robotic applications, including vision-based recognition, object handling, sorting and automation;
- keep abreast of emerging AI technologies and explore their potential industrial applications;
- prepare technical documentation, project reports and R&D demonstrations;
- manage R&D projects, including technical and financial aspects and other project administrative tasks, such as preparing project updates and reports;
- work closely with R&D researchers and personnel; coordinate with local and overseas universities, research institutions and business partners, and handle enquiries in a professional manner; and
- perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or above in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or a related STEM discipline;
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI, with Python programming experience;
- Experience in LLMs/Generative AI, AI Agents, RAG, Multimodal AI, Computer Vision or Robotics would be an advantage;
- Experience with AI frameworks, APIs, Docker, cloud AI or application development would be an advantage;
- Experience or knowledge in textile/material applications, computer vision imaging, camera/optical system setup, or industrial automation would be an advantage;
- Strong interest in applying emerging AI technologies to real-world industrial applications;
- Good analytical, teamwork and communication skills; and
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage.
