Job Description

The Graduate Trainee Programme at Automated Systems (H.K.) Limited (ASL) nurtures future leaders through a comprehensive two-year experience. You will develop advanced IT skills while gaining exposure to various career paths within the IT industry, facilitating a seamless transition from university life to a professional business environment and helping you cultivate your career aspirations.

Skills-Focused Streams

1) Application Development

Relevant Skill Sets:
Coding, Web Applications, Mobile Application Development, QA Testing, UX/UI Design, etc.

What You Will Experience:

Undergo tailored training and rotation within development teams to gain knowledge in web applications, system development, testing, and support roles.
Participate in a variety of projects to enhance both technical expertise and career experience.
Receive customized job attachments based on your academic background, skills, and interests to meet project and business needs.

We Are Looking For:

Final-year students or recent graduates with degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Basic coding knowledge (e.g., Java, C#.NET, Python, AngularJS, ReactJS, Node.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is an advantage.
Experience in AI and/or the latest technologies is a plus.
Proactive, analytical, and responsible individuals with strong communication and organizational skills.

2) IT Infrastructure & Networking

Relevant Skill Sets:
Cloud Solutions, Data Center Operations, IT Service Delivery, Network Maintenance/Configuration, etc.

What You Will Experience:

Gain hands-on experience and training in IT infrastructure, Network & System Maintenance, and Helpdesk & Deskside Support.
Participate in rotations across teams to build a strong foundation in IT operations, including cloud, servers, storage, and recovery solutions.
Work on real-world projects to understand business challenges and apply technical solutions effectively.

We Are Looking For:

Final-year students or recent graduates with degrees in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computing, Networking, or related disciplines.
Basic knowledge of general IT support across systems and networks.
Proactive, analytical, and responsible individuals with a passion for IT operations.

3) Cyber Security

Relevant Skill Sets:
Cybersecurity, Network Security, Vulnerability Assessment, SIEM, Incident Response, etc.

What You Will Experience:

Develop expertise in IT security, including threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and compliance.
Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information
Provide professional security advisory service and troubleshoot recommendations to customers by designing and proposing security solutions
Gain exposure to enterprise-level security tools and techniques, while contributing to the implementation of security solutions.

We Are Looking For:

Final-year students or recent graduates with degrees in Computer Science, Information Security, or related disciplines.
Basic knowledge of IT security concepts, network protocols, and system vulnerabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and responsible attitude.

4) Sales / Pre-sales / IT Consulting

Relevant Skill Sets:
Business Development, Technical Knowledge, Customer Relationship Management, Sales Strategies, Presentation Skills, Problem-Solving, etc.

What You Will Experience (Sales):

Assist Sales Managers in developing and expanding the customer base.
Support Sales Managers with business proposals, tenders, customer inquiries, quotations, and orders.
Promote professional IT solutions and maintain positive customer relationships.

What You Will Experience (Pre-sales/IT Consulting):

Provide professional advisory service and troubleshoot recommendations to customers by designing and proposing solutions
Prepare proposals, design technical diagrams, and deliver presentations.
Participate in customer meetings to understand requirements, craft solutions, and present technical insights.

We Are Looking For:

Final-year students or recent graduates with degrees in Information Systems, Business Analysis, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
Proficient in computer skills and comfortable with challenges.
Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Customer-oriented, energetic, and mature personalities.

5) Business Analysis / Project Management

Relevant Skill Sets:
Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Stakeholder Management, Project Planning, Agile/Scrum Methodologies, Process Optimization, etc.

What You Will Experience:

Develop skills in business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation.
Gain hands-on experience in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
Work on real-world projects to understand business operations and processes and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver projects within scope, time, and budget.

We Are Looking For:

Final-year students or recent graduates with degrees in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Proactive and detail-oriented individuals with a passion for project management and process improvement.

6) Data Science

Relevant Skill Sets:
Agentic & Generative AI, Large Language Model, Natural Language Processing, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Big Data Technologies, Statistical Analysis, Programming (Python/R), Data Visualization, etc.

What You Will Experience:

Work on real-world data-driven projects to extract insights, develop predictive models, and drive business decisions.
Explore advanced AI concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation and Agentic Models in practical applications.
Gain hands-on experience with data analysis tools and frameworks, including TensorFlow, Spark, and Hadoop as well as different LLMs.
Learn to communicate findings effectively through data visualization and reporting.

We Are Looking For:

Final-year students or recent graduates with degrees in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R, prompt engineering, as well as data visualization tools.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented individuals eager to learn and explore the fields of AI and big data.
