Job Summary
- Lead the end-to-end management of cross-border customer journeys and payment products lifecycle, delivering competitive, customer-centric, commercially sustainable and well-controlled payment solution.
- Drive delivery with Technology partners for new initiatives and enhancement across the full product lifecycle, from opportunity assessment, customer requirement through solution design, governance, implementation, launch and post-implementation review.
- Drive payment adoption, maximise cross-selling opportunities and strengthen CASA stickiness to support customer engagement and sustainable portfolio growth.
- Release Readiness: Drive product release readiness through effective UAT management, defect prioritisation, risk identification, stakeholder coordination and post-implementation validation.
- Operational and Business Readiness: Ensure end-to-end operating process, procedures, controls, hand-offs, customer communications and frontline readiness are established and remain effective throughout the product life cycle.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead cross-functional engagement across product, technology, delivery partners, Operations, Frontlines and Risk Stewards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Execution: Ensure alignment of payments services to WRB strategy. Leverage knowledge of local payment rails and switches, industry trends, consumer preferences and competitor landscape – including financial institutions and fintech disruptors – to keep the Bank’s product propositions competitive
- Client experience and growth: Commercialise payments portfolio by identifying growth opportunities, driving digital adoption and ensuring flawless service delivery by managing the product roadmap, engaging country and group stakeholders across business, delivery, technology, operations and risk teams
- Governance: Ownership of 1LOD risk management as well as partnering with relevant Risk Framework Owners, Business Risk Management and 2nd Line of Defence teams at country and group levels to manage risk, implement controls and ensure adherence to the organisation’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (including internal policies and standards), regulatory requirements and industry standards. This includes proactively identifying and escalating key issues to relevant forums for group-level oversight and governance
- Management of 3rd parties: Act as primary country interface with external payment ecosystem stakeholders - payment rails (WRB specific and local domestic rails, as applicable), switches global payment networks and local payment networks, as applicable); actively participate in scheme/rail forums, drive alignment on rule changes and initiatives, and ensure country-level reporting, compliance, and operational requirements are effectively implemented Lead the end-to-end product management of cross-border payment products and customer journeys, delivering competitive, customer-centric, commercially sustainable and well-controlled payment solution.
