Next Chapter of HR Digital Transformation at ESF
The English Schools Foundation (ESF) has successfully gone live with Workday as our core Human Capital Management System, fully integrated with PeopleSoft Payroll — marking a major milestone in our HR digital transformation journey.
As we continue to enhance and unlock the full potential of our HR technology landscape, we are expanding our HRIS team and recruiting a Senior / HR Executive – Projects (HRIS & Analytics). This role will support ongoing system optimisation, enhancements, analytics development, and continuous improvement initiatives across ESF’s 20+ schools and central offices.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape how technology enhances people experience, drives data‑informed decision‑making, and strengthens governance across the organisation. If you enjoy building smarter systems, translating business needs into impactful solutions, and working at the intersection of HR, technology, and analytics — this role is for you. If you bring strong hands‑on Workday experience and are passionate about leveraging HR technology to drive operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.
Why Join ESF HR?
The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is seeking a Senior / HR Executive – Projects (HRIS & Analytics) with solid Workday experience to drive transformation in HR systems and governance landscape.

- Now that the foundational build is complete, our focus shifts to embedding Workday into the fabric of our daily operations. We are looking for a specialist who thrives in a post-go-live environment—someone who can troubleshoot teething issues, refine processes based on real-world feedback, and turn raw data into actionable insights for our leadership teams.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the HR Project Manager & the Project Team to support system stabilisation, enhancements, and optimisation initiatives
- Review and refine business processes to improve efficiency, governance, and user experience
- Gather and translate business requirements into functional system solutions
- Configure and maintain Workday modules (hands‑on configuration required)

- Lead testing cycles for new enhancements and system updates
- Support user adoption through targeted training, documentation, and guidance
- Ensure compliance with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and internal governance standards
- Champion data quality by auditing existing data loads, cleaning up duplicates, and ensuring historical employee records are accurately migrated.
- Establish a 'Tier 2' support triage to manage tickets, troubleshoot user errors, and resolve configuration issues that arise during daily operations.
- Conduct 'Health Checks' on current business processes (e.g., Hiring, Onboarding, Leave) to identify bottlenecks and reduce manual workarounds.
Who We Are Looking For
- 4–6 years of hands‑on Workday experience (configuration experience is essential)
- Experience in implementation and/or post‑go‑live enhancement environments
- Strong analytical capability with a structured, solution‑oriented mindset
- Confident communicator who can bridge business and technical conversations
- Familiar with the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance
- Degree holder (HR, Information Systems, or related discipline preferred)
Candidates with slightly less experience may be considered for the HR Executive level.
