ROLE SUMMARY :
- You will lead end‑to‑end project execution for key toy programs handled by the Vietnam sourcing office, from initial concept through to mass production and shipment.
- You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, OEM factories and regional offices to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality and compliance standards.
- This high‑impact role requires strong project leadership, solid manufacturing and sourcing knowledge, and a proven track record in managing multiple complex projects in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and manage full project lifecycles for assigned customers and product lines, including planning, timelines, budgets, risk management and execution.
- Develop detailed project plans and milestone charts, tracking progress from design, sampling, costing and approvals through to tooling, pilot runs and mass production.
- Coordinate closely with supply chain, product development, merchandising, engineering and quality teams to secure resources and resolve project roadblocks.
- Drive proactive issue identification and resolution, ensuring contingency plans are in place to protect delivery and quality commitments.
- Cross‑Functional & Factory Coordination
- Work with OEM manufacturers and factory partners across Vietnam and the region to align capacity, critical paths and production schedules with project requirements.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and reviews with internal teams and vendors, providing clear action plans, accountability and follow‑up.
- Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed with timely and accurate project status reports, highlighting risks, changes and key decisions required.
- Support cost negotiations and value engineering initiatives by providing project and technical insights to merchandising and sourcing teams.
- Quality, Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure project execution complies with international toy safety standards, customer requirements, and internal quality and compliance policies.
- Liaise with quality and compliance teams to plan testing, inspections and audits in line with project timelines.
- Conduct post‑project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.
- Support the development and refinement of standard project management methodologies, templates and best practices in the Vietnam office.
- Team & Stakeholder Management
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members in Vietnam, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Influence and align stakeholders at different levels, including senior management, customers, factory management and cross‑functional teams.
- Represent the Vietnam office in regional project reviews and customer meetings, presenting progress, issues and improvement plans.
IDEAL CANDIDATES :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, trading, sourcing or buying offices in toys or related consumer products, with substantial project or program management responsibilities.
- At least 5 years in a senior project management or leadership role handling multi‑project portfolios and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing frameworks, including quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001), production planning, optimization and basic labor law/compliance awareness.
- Proven ability to manage complex, time‑critical projects in a fast‑paced, multinational environment and across multiple factory locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing diverse stakeholders and managing external partners.
- Good command of written and spoken English; Cantonese/Mandarin/Vietnamese will be an advantage.
- Vietnam experience or exposure to the Vietnam manufacturing/vendor landscape is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Vietnam to visit factories and occasionally to Hong Kong and China for meetings and regional coordination.
