Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader of Database Services, the appointee will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the cloud ERP system.
- Monitoring the performance and availability of the cloud ERP system.
- Developing and overseeing data migration strategies, ensuring compliance with industry best practices for accurate and efficient data transfer.
- Managing ETL (extract, transform, load) processes and coordinating mock conversion events.
- Supporting data migration activities within the project timeline.
- Performing regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, indexing, and performance tuning across multiple database platforms.
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing API programming interfaces to support system integration and functionality.
- Performing system maintenance, security patching and performing diagnosis and troubleshooting of application systems.
- Providing support for the system and user account provisioning and account lifecycle management.
- Collaborating with vendors and external consultants for third-party support.
- Working shifts and irregular hours might be required.
- Performing any other duties as requested by supervisor.
Requirements
- An associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- At least 2-3 years’ relevant experience in IT Application System and Server Management
- Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures, SaaS platforms, and enterprise software integration.
- Proven experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing data migration tools and platforms including ETL processes
- Hands-on experience in UNIX Shell / Python / PowerShell scripting
- Sound knowledge in server software installation, application system support and maintenance, Windows and Linux operating system
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good customer service skills and service attitude
- Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
Candidates with less experience will also be considered for appointment at the relevant rank.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years.
