Job Summary
The Accountant for Tag provides in-depth accounting and financial analysis for designated business areas, accounts, and sites. This role supports the senior business team by coordinating with Tag’s financial group to align with each account's specific needs. You will collaborate with finance and other functions across HK & TW markets, and the broader APAC region. Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency are essential for effective data analysis and delivering valuable financial insights.
Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze profit and loss statements, revenue recognition, direct costs, and expense controls to support business partners and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analyses, including verification of allocation charges and audits to prevent fraud and over-expenditures.
- Report accurate financial results for assigned sites, verify operational usage against P&L, and oversee invoice preparation for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Collaboration & Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with business partners to enhance financial administrative procedures, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Provide effective financial partnerships through support in financial planning, analysis, invoicing, payroll, purchasing, and accounting functions.
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Prepare detailed templates for forecasts and budgets tailored to various business units, ensuring compliance with financial reporting methodologies.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual earnings reporting processes, collaborating with team members and leadership on P&L and balance sheet reviews.
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements for accounting, financial, and tax reporting.
- Track and review financial operations, perform monthly closings, and ensure all financial processes and controls are adhered to.
Financial Operations
- Lead the FinOps and FP&A team and ensure they are well-versed in financial policies and compliance.
- Assist in preparing and posting prepayment, accrual, and reclassification journals to finalize the monthly P&L.
- Ensure all transactions in the P&L are audit-compliant, backed by proper calculations and documentation.
- Calculate periodic price adjustments and maintain accrual/allocation logs to ensure invoice accuracy.
Audit & Tax
- Manage the preparation of tax reconciliation for indirect tax returns submission, including VAT and WHT Tax.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during financial and tax audits.
- Assist internal and external auditors during year-end audits and perform various ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Cash Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow; maintain rolling cash flow forecasting; IC settlement, bank account management
- Liaise with Corporate Treasury to execute cash and liquidity management.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Accounting Qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of accounting and financial experience preferably in multinational commercial environment with some audit experience an advantage
- Good command in English & Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin)
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to develop effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of managing growth and meeting tight deadlines.
- Adaptable to company culture and understanding of business drivers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
