The Role
The Human Resources Manager will lead the Firm’s HR function and employee lifecycle, partnering with senior management to support business growth, workforce planning, culture, and organisational development. The role covers talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, HR operations, and employment compliance across our global workforce (currently Australia and Hong Kong).
The successful candidate will be a trusted business partner who combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution in a dynamic, fast-growing asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior management on HR strategy, workforce planning, and organisational development.
- Build and maintain a high-performance culture across a global workforce.
- Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, employee retention, and visa sponsorship / immigration processes where required.
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including hiring, mobility, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Manage employee relations, performance management, and career development.
- Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, and reward programmes.
- Drive learning and development initiatives to support employee growth and leadership capability.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, systems, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across relevant jurisdictions.
- Provide HR reporting, workforce insights, and support for audits, regulatory reviews, and due diligence activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- 7+ years’ HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong employment law, with Australian employment law advantageous, together with HR best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Broad generalist HR experience across recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HR operations, and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience within a regulated financial services environment.
- Experience supporting a global workforce while fostering a strong, high-performance culture.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Native-level written and spoken English.
