PREPARATORY OFFICE FOR PRIVATE UNIVERSITY

Executive Officer / Assistant Executive Officer (Ref. 260617011-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide secretarial and administrative support to the Head of the Preparatory Office for the Private University (the Head);

(b) support the Head in coordinating preparatory activities for the transformation of the College of Professional and Continuing Education into a private university;

(c) assist in the organisation, servicing and documentation of committee meetings, as well as the day-to-day administration of the Office;

(d) liaise and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders such as PolyU internal units and external organisations; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant working experience;

(b) have excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;

(d) be well-organised and attentive to details; and

(e) be able to work independently.

Preference will be given to those with solid relevant working experience in tertiary education sector.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment at a lower level.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
