System Manager

Responsibilities:

Lead digital transformation projects including automation and optimization across membership operations, content discovery and management, and internal business processes;
Oversee the design, development, operation of large-scale systems including membership, customer relationship management, e-commerce, video-on-demand, resources discovery and search platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability;
Drive the adoption of AI and data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user experience;
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate customer and operational needs into effective digital solutions and roadmaps, applying agile practices;
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and digital trends, making strategic recommendations aligned with digital education priorities;
Plan and manage departmental resources, including staffing, vendor engagement, procurement and budget control;
Take up ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related discipline;
At least 10 years of experience in system development, with a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role;
Proven experience delivering digital platforms supporting membership systems, customer relationship management, e-commerce, digital marketing, content portals, and workflow automation;
Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation or large-scale system modernization initiatives, preferably in the education sector;
Strong hands-on experience with LAMP stack, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, open-source and AI technologies in hybrid cloud environments;
Ability to conceptualize ideas and translate them into executable, value-driven projects;
Good leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
Proven ability to motivate and guide teams towards shared goals within defined timelines;
Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English;
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant System Manager.
