Our client is seeking a creative and business-focused Product Design & Development Lead in Home Textiles, Soft Accessories and Pet Soft Goods. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end creation of market-leading collections—from concept through to launch—ensuring alignment with European trends and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full design and development process for Home Textile, Soft Accessory, and Pet Soft Goods collections—including trend research, concept development, technical specifications, prototyping, and final approval.
Manage external design partners and internal workflows to deliver high-quality designs aligned with EU market trends, especially in France, Italy, and Germany.
Develop cohesive seasonal collections, with a focus on soft goods, textiles, and accessories, including private label products.
Apply strong knowledge of costing, pricing, and margin management to support profitable range planning.
Collaborate closely with Insights, Product, Sourcing, Quality, and Sales teams to translate consumer and market insights into actionable design strategies.
Utilize digital design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, Rhino, or similar software to create accurate visuals, tech packs, and digital-ready product data.
Support the rapid development of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) with an emphasis on feasibility and speed to market.
Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide innovative solutions to design and development challenges.
Experience in Home Textiles, Soft Accessories, Pet Beds, Blankets, Towels, or related soft goods is highly preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

At least 5 - 10 years of experience in product design, development, or sourcing, preferably in Home Textiles, Accessories, or Pet Soft Goods.
Proven track record managing end-to-end product development from concept to launch.
Strong awareness of European market trends and consumer preferences in soft goods categories.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator; experience with 3D design, CLO, or textile simulation software is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of product costing, pricing strategies, and margin management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across regions and influence stakeholders.
Flexible, proactive, and idea-driven with a strong learning mindset.
Fluent in English and Mandarin; knowledge of German is a plus.
