Assistant Officer - School of Business and Management (MBA Programs)

The HKUST MBA Ofﬁce is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual to join our Program Team. This role provides crucial administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth program operation and engaging student experience.

This is a hands-on operational role with a strong focus on academic support, event logistics, and day-to-day administration. The ideal candidate is comfortable with meticulous academic and administrative tasks and enjoys supporting students and colleagues in a dynamic, fast-paced academic environment.

Course Support: Assist with course preparation, operation, and delivery. This includes tasks such as class scheduling, venue booking, textbook and course material purchases, copyright clearance, preparing student profiles, sending class announcements, distributing course materials, and providing on-site or online class support.
Online Courses and Initiatives Support: Work closely with the internal team and external vendors to prepare and develop materials for online courses, such as coordinating faculty filming sessions, and supporting other learning initiatives to enhance the overall student experience.
Student Affairs: Provide support in student affairs, including promptly and professionally handling daily inquiries, organizing student enrichment and networking activities, and assisting with the preparation of program presentations and announcements.
General Ofﬁce Administration: Perform receptionist duties, including answering inquiries, greeting and serving visitors professionally, and handling courier services/deliveries. Manage daily administrative tasks and documentation. Provide ad-hoc support as requested by supervisors.

Applicants should have a diploma, higher diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree. While relevant administrative or operations experience is an advantage, fresh graduates will be considered.

The ideal candidate should be a good team player with a proactive work attitude, high adaptability to changes, and the capability of multi-tasking. A strong sense of urgency, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in various software, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), are required.

Working outside normal office hours and on occasional weekends may be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
