Data center operator

We are seeking a data center operator in our government Project.

Job Description:

Perform 24 x 7 shift duties in data centres;
Operate data center facilities, monitor their performance, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective or recovery actions;
Problem reporting, incident handling, and message dissemination.
Perform access control for visitors of data centre by verifying their authorization in the access control system;
Monitor the physical security in data centre by means of digital video recording system and perform routine physical security checking and take corrective or preventive actions as appropriate;
Monitor the availability and performance of environmental facilities in data centre and take corrective or preventive actions as appropriate in accordance with incident and problem management procedures;
Prepare data centre facilities maintenance schedule; monitor progress; take rectifying/recovery action in case of exception;
Site preparation work;
Assist maintenance of records and documentation, compilation of management statistics and reports; and
Escort and monitor any other personnel working in the data centres.

Job Requirements

Two year's relevant experience in -
the control and operation of a computer system or computer application; and
the provision of support services to terminal network users.
Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required.
