We have been exclusively retained by a globally scaled, privately owned business services provider to identify candidates for a newly created Human Resources Lead position. This role will work as an individual contributor, report to the local Managing Director and partner closely with headquarters to oversee daily HR operations in Hong Kong office, supporting a workforce of approximately 50 employees.

Responsibilities
- Working in close cooperation with the management in Hong Kong and in full alignment with the HR Director in HQ, develop and implement the HR strategy to support business needs while ensuring full alignment to company values and culture.
- Deploy the HR processes in the employee-life cycle which includes talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits and development programs.
- Develop and maintain privileged working relationships with employees to facilitate employee engagement. In close cooperation with management to develop and implement the relevant programs to increase engagement, motivation, retention and productivity.
- Manage the talent acquisition process; recruitment, interviewing, hiring applicants and understanding the skills and competencies required.
- Manage the on-boarding process for all new employees, pre-employment checks, contracts, and induction programmes.
- Analyse trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive packages and incentives to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent.
- Manage employee investigations, disciplinary and capability hearings in accordance with company policy.
- Provide support and guidance to management, and employees, when complex and sensitive issues arise i.e., investigations, grievances, complaints, and terminations.
- Ensure the deployment of the performance evaluation process and follow up on any development needs.
- Organise learning and development programs and initiatives development opportunities for employees that supports organisational capability and succession planning.
- Organize training and liaise with line managers and employees regarding corporate policies and practices (e.g. MPF, AMLO, personal data privacy ordinance, etc).
- Prepare the annual HR budget (headcount, C&B and L&D)
- Maintain personnel files and ensure HR practices are applied fairly, consistently and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Liaise with the HR Director in headquarter to maintain global continuity.
Qualities and Skills required
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years' working experience gained within HR operations role
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong labour law, MPF, other employment legislations and HR best practices.
- Proven experience operating at HR management level within a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, exercising sound judgement and discretion.
- Exceptional management skills and proven track record in successfully working with top management.
- Fluent communication, both written and spoken, in Chinese and English
- Well-rounded organisational and analytical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and budgets.
- Self-motivated and team oriented.
- Technically proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is essential.
