Salary: Disciplined Services (Rank and File) Pay Scale Point 8 (HK$28,335 per month) or Disciplined Services (Officer) Pay Scale Point 1a (HK$31,695 per month) to Disciplined Services (Officer) Pay Scale Point 18 (HK$78,455 per month).
Entry Requirements:
Candidates should:
(a) (i) (1) have Level 3 (Note 1) or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Mathematics and a science subject, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; or
(2) have Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3 / Grade C or above in three other subjects, including Mathematics and a science subject in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; (Entry pay: HK$31,695 per month); or
(ii) (1) have Level 3 (Note 1) or above in Mathematics and a science subject, and Level 2 (Note 1) or equivalent or above in three other subjects in the HKDSEE, or equivalent; or
(2) have Grade C or above in Mathematics and a science subject, and Level 2 / Grade E or above in three other subjects in the HKCEE, or equivalent; (Entry pay: HK$28,335 per month); and
(b) have met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 (Note 2) or above in English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent, if this subject is not included in (a)(i) or (a)(ii) above;
(c) be able to communicate effectively in Cantonese and oral English;
(d) pass a vision assessment;
(e) pass an Air Crewman Officer written aptitude test;
(f) pass an Air Crewman Officer medical examination;
(g) pass a physical fitness test;
(h) pass the job-related performance tests; and
(i) have a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (Note 3).
Note:
(1) For civil service appointment purpose, "Attained with Distinction" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2) For civil service appointment purpose, "Grade C" and "Grade E" in English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to "Level 3" and "Level 2" in English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(3) All applicants for civil service jobs will be assessed on their knowledge of the Basic Law and the National Security Law. A pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test is an entry requirement for all civil service jobs. Only those candidates who have passed the Basic Law and National Security Law Test will be considered for appointment.
For candidates who have not taken the relevant Basic Law and National Security Law Test or have not attained a pass result in the relevant Basic Law and National Security Law Test at the time of application, they may still apply for the job and arrangements will be made for them to take the relevant Basic Law and National Security Law Test during the recruitment process.
Duties:
(a) perform flying duties as to his/her qualification and level awarded;
(b) perform Operations Officer duties; and
(c) carry out related support activities and general duties as required by the department.
Note: Will be subject to discipline under the Government Flying Service Ordinance and may be required to wear uniform and work shifts.
Terms of Appointment:A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years, and may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period.

Candidates who are selected for assessment / interview will normally receive an invitation by email in about ten to twelve weeks from the closing date for application. General Notes:
