Salary: $82,330 per month
Entry Requirements:Candidate should have/be:
(a) a bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) attained Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent results ;
(c) a minimum of ten years of relevant post-qualification full-time work experience in the fields of production, financing, marketing or promotion in film and/or streaming sectors, with at least seven years performing as an executive producer / producer / line producer / production manager in the production of full-length local feature films commercially released in Hong Kong and/or streaming series. Work experience in management of funding schemes or project management in Government / quasi-government bodies / public service sector will be an advantage;
(d) good command of written Chinese and English, and fluency in spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English;
(e) sound knowledge of application software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing and editing software, etc.; and
(f) strong strategic planning, organising, interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently under tight time frame.
[Note: For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]
Duties:(a) To assist in the planning and implementation of funding schemes relating to films and/or streaming platforms under the Film Development Fund including but not limited to the First Feature Film Initiative (FFFI), with duties including reviewing the relevant schemes and its application requirements, organising the competitions and related activities, dealing with the signing of project agreements and monitoring the disbursement of fund, etc.;
(b) To seek clarifications from and liaise with the production companies funded under the relevant schemes to ensure that the agreement terms are complied with and the productions are on schedule, within budgets and of professional standards;
(c) To assume the role of producer to complete the FFFI films in case the agreement with the production company is terminated;
(d) To assist in the planning and implementation of other film-related projects initiated by CCIDA and/or the Film Development Council (FDC);
(e) To explore and/or organise training programmes for film talents, and seek collaboration with local and/or international partners to enhance the training of film talents;
(f) To assist in planning and organising the publicity events for the relevant schemes and/or projects and to explore contents to be included in the social media platforms of CCIDA and FDC;
(g) To provide secretarial support to FDC and its subcommittees; and
(h) To perform other duties as assigned.
Note:
(1)Subject to the exigency of services, the appointee may be required to work irregular hours and overtime, including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
(2)Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written test and/or an interview.
Terms of Appointment:Successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 24 months.
Fringe Benefits A gratuity may be granted at the end of contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485), will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary received during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, sick leave, etc., where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance (Cap. 57).
