Contract General Clerk (2026 Population Census)

To support the Small Scale Test Survey of the 2026 Population Census, we would like to invite applications for the following position:

Job Duties:

To perform general manual office duties such as data entry, printing photocopying, scanning and circulation of documents, dispatching and receiving documents , preparing meeting folders, signage and labels etc.,
To cross-check attendance records, applications for reimbursement of travelling and other expenses and other administrative records, ensuring accuracy of entries before payments
To assist in compiling personnel and finance returns
To assist in recruitment related matters, including liaison with applicants and preparing recruitment letters and folders
To answer and log telephone enquiries and to assist in performing reception counter manning services
To assist in distributing stocks, cleaning and tidying storage racks and stocktaking exercise and
To perform other duties as assigned

Employment Terms:

5 days work per week, Monday - Friday 0845-1745, off on Sat, Sun and PH
Working location : Wanchai
5 months work contract
$15,630 per month

Candidate's Requirement:

Level 2 / Grade E or equivalent or above in five subjects (including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics) in the HKDSEE or in the HKCEE
Proficiency in both Chinese and English word processing (having Chinese word processing speed of 20 words per minute and English word processing speed of 30 words per minute
Good knowledge in the application of common business software including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power and
Be able to handle stocking duties and minor relocation of light office stationery and equipment and
Be polite and courteous in dealing with the public and the staff including face-to-face situations and when over the phone
Preference will be given to those who could complete the whole contract and be available within short notice period
Candidates will need to sit for a trade test before he/she is invited for another face-to-face interview
Fresh graduates are welcome
