What is this position about?

This position offers the opportunity to join our operation platform with our Wealth Management business line. The role specialize in transaction processing and providing support to the front office staff from various aspects.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

You will have very close collaboration with our colleague located in different countries of the APAC region, including Hong Kong, Singapore and India.

Primary Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will

Work with Relationship Managers (RM), Marketing Associates (MA), the Regional Processing Centre (RPC), and ISPL (BNPP India Solutions) to perform pre-operation control and execute client instructions promptly and accurately in line with bank procedures and regulatory requirements.
Address front‑office enquiries and complaints, resolve operational issues, and report exceptions or discrepancies to the Head of Local Business Support (LBS).
Support all fund transfer and securities related activities include but not limited to securities transfer, physical certificate handling, IPO, placement and disclosure of holdings, and follow up with RPC, ISPL, custodians, front office, or counterparties as needed.
Liaise with RPC to receive corporate action news, collate and ensure timely execution of client’s instructions received from front office.
Perform local cheque clearing, cheque book order, cashier’s order /demand draft issuance, foreign cheque clearing and FPS settlements. Monitor any outstanding items.
Monitor transactions under CIES account, prepare necessary reporting and answer related enquires.
Prepare, review and distribute daily, monthly and quarterly reporting
Handle ad hoc activities as assigned by the Head of LBS
Participate in project. Monitor progress and provide updates to the Head of LBS, and contribute to activities such as system implementation, enhancement, UAT, BCP, contingency drill and DR.

Other Contributions

Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
Responsible for reporting all incidents according to the Incident Management System
Streamline/enhance the operational procedures on a regular basis.

What is required for you to succeed?

Relevant working experience in payment and securities operations. Good knowledge in general banking operations. Experience in project handling is preferred but not a must.
Good written and spoken English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint…etc).
Take initiative with self-motivation.
Attention to details with high accuracy.
Commit to customers, adapt to the changing environment.

Required Education/certification/licenses

Degree holder in business or finance with at least 5 years relevant banking experience.
Experience in middle & back office operations in a sizable financial institution, prior experience in private banking is preferred.
