About Our Client

Our client is a top tier global law firm, with an established Risk & Compliance team in Hong Kong.

Job Description

As a Senior Risk & Compliance Lawyer, your main responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing risk management and compliance policies.
Advising on regulatory requirements and ensuring adherence to legal standards.
Conducting risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies.
Overseeing compliance training and awareness initiatives.
Monitoring changes in regulations and updating internal policies accordingly.
Providing guidance on ethical and professional conduct matters.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues.
Supporting internal checks related to compliance matters.

The Successful Applicant

The required candidate will be a qualified lawyer, ideally from a common law jurisdiction. You will have several years of experience working as a lawyer either in a law firm or having moved in-house to a regulated environment where you have been required to take up risk & compliance duties. You must have some strong exposure to either AML/conflicts, risk, client due diligence, professional conduct or regulatory compliance. You must be able to handle matters independently with strong communication skills.
