How you will make an impact:
The Manager, HR Business Partner exists to bridge strategic HR advisory with end-to-end operational execution for assigned divisions and departments. This role is responsible for translating overarching business objectives into actionable HR initiatives, including workforce planning, full-cycle recruitment, talent management, and performance optimization. Through effective stakeholder partnership, data-driven insights, and continuous process enhancement, this position directly impacts workforce productivity, talent retention, risk mitigation, and the overall employee experience across the organization.
Operational Management
- Perform hands-on, end-to-end recruitment duties for assigned divisions from strategic sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding; ensuring a seasmless candidate experience and timely fulfillment of hiring needs.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of workforce planning and manpower budgets in strict alignment with business priorities.
- Drive the annual performance management cycle from KPI setting to performance reviews and calibration; ensuring seamless execution within tight deadlines.
- Maintain comprehensive intelligence on critical talent and High-Potential (HiPo) employees, actively tracking turnover metrics to deploy targeted retention interventions.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with division/department heads to support strategic initiatives by designing, implementing, and actively managing targeted People Action Plans.
- Provide organization structure advisory to business leaders, actively partnering with them to evaluate team setups, optimize reporting lines, and hands-on manage the operational execution of restructuring and workforce transition initiatives.
- Provide hands-on performance management advisory and coaching to line managers, guiding them on performance assessments, delivering constructive feedback, and the effective handling of staff performance cases and employee relations matters.
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and leverage people analytics dashboards, synthesize data on workforce composition, talent risks, turnover trends, and critical vacancies to conduct quarterly People Reviews and provide actionable HR advisory.
- Generate accurate monthly manpower reports, analyzing staff costs and recruitment expenses to identify and address significant variances.
- Analyze workforce cost and internal equity data to generate concrete insights and recommendations in support of corporate remuneration projects.
Project Coordination
- Facilitate annual talent reviews and succession planning discussions, taking responsibility for ensuring every identified successor has an actionable development plan.
- Coordinate the rollout of corporate wellbeing initiatives and champion employer branding by curating employee success stories to enhance talent attraction and engagement.
- Collaborate across teams to drive cross-functional HR projects, ensuring all people-related deliverables and stakeholder communications are executed on time and within scope.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Review, develop, and implement HR policies and operating guidelines, standardizing workflows across the function to ensure operational consistency and mitigate organizational risks.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and approval records for all HRBP matters, ensuring strict adherence to governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
- Manage the resolution of assigned audit findings, updating control trackers and ensuring all follow-up actions are executed promptly.
Process Improvement & HR Tech
- Drive continuous improvement by streamlining and optimizing HR workflows.
- Enhance the candidate and employee experience using data insights.
- Help launch new HR digital solutions, AI tools, and automation.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of solid HR experience, with a proven track record functioning as an HR Business Partner in a sizable or matrix organization.
- Hands-on ability to manage end-to-end HR processes, from full-cycle recruitment and onboarding to daily HR administration.
- Proficient in utilizing HR data to prepare metrics, generate management reports, and support business decisions.
- Practical experience in executing performance management cycles, supporting talent reviews, and handling standard employee relations matters.
- Strong organizational skills with a good understanding of HR compliance, local labor laws, and policy administration.
- Open to continuous improvement and familiar with using HR systems; experience with HR tech rollouts or automation tools is a plus.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
