We are seeking a highly capable, multilingual HR Manager to support our Managing Director and help strengthen people, administrative, and operational effectiveness across our growing manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role for an experienced professional who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a small-to-mid-sized office environment. The successful candidate will engage with every department, work independently when required, and provide direct, confidential support to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate core human-resources activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance support, records, policies, and day-to-day HR administration.
- Act as a trusted point of contact between the Managing Director and internal departments, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up.
- Provide direct executive and operational support to the Managing Director on priority projects, initiatives, reporting, and departmental coordination.
- Work closely with department heads and employees to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze issues independently and take ownership of practical solutions, or coordinate the appropriate people and resources to support implementation.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and internal communications in English and Chinese as required.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and well-organized employee, administrative, and operational documentation.
- Support the development and implementation of HR procedures, office processes, and operational enhancements.
- Handle multiple concurrent tasks with sound judgement, attention to detail, discretion, and a strong sense of accountability.
- Represent the company professionally when communicating with employees, candidates, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in an HR, office management, executive support, or operations-focused role within a small-to-mid-sized company.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities is routine.
- Fluent written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong professional character, sound judgement, discretion, integrity, and a high level of confidentiality.
- Proactive and analytical approach, with the ability to identify issues, assess options, and drive or support operational improvements.
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, trading, industrial, or similarly operational business environment is an advantage.
