Position Overview
Vantage is looking for a driven Project Manager to support the delivery of data center construction projects as part of the Construction team. This role will be based in Hong Kong and will support projects across APAC, with travel required. The role will focus on fit-out works, building modifications, customer integration, and supporting greenfield or brownfield construction activities as customers are brought into the facility.
This position is responsible for managing construction delivery activities that involve customer-facing coordination, fit-out delivery, building modifications, and integration works within live or developing data center environments. The role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills to navigate changing requirements while balancing commercial, operational, technical, and schedule impacts.
Collaboration and integration across the construction lifecycle are integral to the role. Coordination and translation of requirements from Vantage’s internal subject matter experts, external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and global customers ensures long-term operational sustainability is preserved while supporting optimized construction delivery. The Project Manager will manage assigned workstreams across project planning, contractor coordination, procurement support, commercial tracking, project controls, customer-facing communication, issue resolution, and regular reporting.
This role provides the opportunity to contribute to Vantage’s project delivery standards and operational excellence while working closely with internal teams, contractors, and customers in a fast-paced data center environment across APAC.
Essential Job Functions
- Project Delivery: Manage assigned construction workstreams across data center projects, with a focus on fit-out works, building modifications, customer integration, and greenfield or brownfield construction activities as customers are brought into the facility. Support delivery from planning through construction, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness while tracking budget, schedule, procurement, and construction execution requirements.
- Stakeholder Management and Customer Integration: Manage stakeholder expectations and customer integration requirements across internal teams, external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and global customers. Support customer-facing activities including project updates, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, change control communication, and reporting to ensure customer requirements are understood and incorporated into delivery plans.
- Project Controls and Administration: Coordinate consulting deliverables and support alignment with project objectives, milestones, and governance requirements. Support commercial administration activities including contracts, progress claims, variation management, certificates, and related documentation. Monitor and report on project budgets, timelines, risks, forecasting, and key milestones to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Contractor and Vendor Management: Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors to support performance, compliance, and alignment with project objectives. Oversee logistics, procurement coordination, and site delivery activities to support project schedules and operational readiness, while helping drive accountability across external delivery partners.
- Safety and Compliance: Act as a visible safety leader, fostering a culture of safety, security, and environmental responsibility across in-house teams, contractors, and delivery partners. Ensure compliance with all local authority requirements, health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and Vantage policies throughout project execution.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate across internal teams including New Site Development (NSD), Design & Engineering (D&E), Construction, Procurement, Commercial, and Critical Operations. Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to support consistent delivery standards, operational readiness, and customer requirements in a fast-paced APAC project environment with exposure to global customers and technically complex infrastructure challenges.
