What You'll Do
- Work within the Hong Kong-based Packaging & Sustainability team, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to share technical expertise and assist with overall sustainability strategy development
- Act as a key point of contact for packaging sustainability-related queries within the Group, working closely with sourcing and suppliers to provide clear guidance on sustainable packaging claims
- Coordinate day-to-day packaging claims assessments across sourcing, QA, and suppliers, and review physical packaging to ensure all relevant feedback is captured and addressed
- Assist in identifying cost-effective sustainable packaging solutions that are fit-for-purpose, meeting both commercial expectations and the Group’s sustainability targets
- Support suppliers with testing new packaging formats, providing technical advice to improve packaging sustainability through size optimization, lightweighting, and sustainable material integration
- Stay updated on the packaging and waste industry to help identify and track packaging sustainability challenges
- Research and track new market trends, material developments, innovations, and legislative requirements in sustainable packaging
What You'll Bring
- Proven packaging experience in an FMCG, retail, or manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of sustainable packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and structural formats.
- Familiarity with packaging sustainability challenges within the Australia and New Zealand markets, coupled with a genuine passion for sustainability.
- A self-starter with commercial acumen and the ability to assist in developing innovative packaging solutions within a commercial organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to support key packaging initiatives and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders while managing day-to-day expectations.
