Assistant Accountant, Finance Operations (Payment team)

Responsibilities

Process cheque issuance and telegraphic transfers for policy payments
Manage payment refunds and perform SAP bookings for related transactions
Facilitate fund transfers in operating bank accounts and ensure timely processing
Handle reinsurance settlements and perform SAP bookings
Process stop payments and stale cheques
Conduct interface checking
Download ebanking reports for reconciliation
Handle enquiries from Operations and Distribution and banks
Handle ad hoc assignments as and when required

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with accounting knowledge, or related field.
At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
Practical experience in cheque payment and ebanking operations is a MUST.
Proficiency in SAP and strong knowledge of financial processes.
Being a fast learner to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and departments.
