Security Specialist (SRAA, Over $60K)

Job description:

Provide technical support for the Thematic Inspection, Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA), and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) of IT systems.
Participate in the procurement of SRAA and PIA services, including preparing requirement specifications and contributing to tender evaluation.
Liaise with relevant parties—such as system administrators, security consultants, and vendors—to facilitate the conduct of SRAA and PIA, including compiling necessary returns and documentation.
Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the progress of SRAA and PIA service delivery.
Ensure quality assurance of all deliverables produced by the security consultant.
Provide technical assistance to internal auditors during the conduct of Thematic Inspections of IT systems.
Offer guidance to system administrators on SRAA, PIA, and Thematic Inspection exercises.
In the event of an IT security incident, support the IT System Manager in evaluating the incident, conducting preliminary assessment, managing incident response, overseeing system recovery, and performing damage assessment.
Conduct vulnerability scanning of IT systems using designated IT security scanning tools, and compile findings with recommendations for management review.

Requirements:

Higher Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent
At least 4 years’ experience in IT industry
At least 2 years’ experience in:
- Information Security Management
- IT Security
- Security Risk Assessment and Audit
- IT Security Scanning Tools
