Job Description

What You'll Do:

Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end execution of AI, robotics, and automation consultancy projects, from conceptual design and technical feasibility studies to on-site deployment and system testing.
Project Control & Reporting: Monitor project risks, budget allocation, and milestone delivery; prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management.
Technical Implementation: Coordinate with internal engineering and supply chain teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure seamless integration of AI algorithms, robotic systems (e.g., robotic arms, AGVs/AMRs), and control software.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring that project deliverables effectively address their operational challenges and align with their business goals.
Documentation & Quality Assurance: Prepare detailed technical specifications, progress reports, and patent applications; ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and internal quality protocols.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, AI, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, AI development, or R&D project management.
Hands-on experience with ROS, computer vision, and robotics system architecture and development is highly preferred.
Experience in writing structured proposals for R&D or public funding applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred.
Excellent cross-functional coordination and communication skills, with a good command of both English and Chinese.

Note:

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
