Job Description

What you'll do:

To provide administrative and operational support to the Council Secretariat and support ad hoc projects and assignments as required
To coordinate logistics for meetings and activities, prepare correspondence and materials, undertake follow up actions and handle confidential matters with discretion
To engage with Council Members’ offices and external bodies such as government personnel by supporting onboarding, answering enquiries, coordinating schedules of meetings and visits, and arranging invitations
To assist in handling procurement and internal procedural matters
To maintain accurate records, filing systems and databases
To liaise with internal divisions for information support, database management and record-keeping

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

Diploma or above in English Language, Translation, Business Administration or related disciplines
Three years or more solid experience in secretarial and administrative duties, preferably in a public organisation
Strong sense of accountability, good analytical and organising skills, ability to work under pressure
Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred; plus proficiency in MS office and Chinese word processing
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Note:

1. Applicant may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position.

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
