About Our Client

Our client is a publicly listed natural resources company with established regional operations. The group is seeking an onsite IT Manager to play a critical role in strengthening its technology environment and supporting business growth.

As it involves natural resources, operations are located in South Africa. The company maintains an on-site team, and all travel is conducted in groups rather than individually to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Lead the selection, deployment, and rollout of an new ERP platform supporting global supply chain business activities;
Own vendor evaluation, partner engagement, and commercial negotiations, ensuring successful system delivery;
Architect and manage Cloud‑based technology infrastructure for core business applications;
Develop and enforce information security controls, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy practices;
Oversee IT budget planning, cost control, and resource prioritisation;
Work closely with cross‑regional teams to support system adoption, deliver user training, and promote digital transformation
Design and maintain data integrations between ERP and analytics platforms to meet organisation‑wide reporting and data needs
Execute additional technology initiatives and projects as directed by management

The Successful Applicant

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ related discipline;
At least 6 years of experience in ERP system implementation, ideally covering modules such as "Supply Chain, Finance, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)" Proven experience delivering multi‑country ERP implementations or rolling out systems across multiple locations;
Hands‑on experience with SQL for ERP reporting and data extraction;
Solid background in business and data analysis
Strong knowledge of Cloud platforms, such as AWS and/or Azure;
Willing to travel frequently to South Africa (All travel expenses will be covered by the company)
Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python
Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
Nice to Have (Not Mandatory) - Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery
