Project Title: Enabling Emerging and Potential Women Leaders in the Digital Age: An Intervention Study of Leadership Growth through training and mentoring

[Appointment Period: 12 months, renewable subject to mutual agreement and funding availability]

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Post-doctoral Fellow to join a groundbreaking, UGC-matched research project led by Professor John Lee Chi-Kin. The project aims to empower emerging and potential women leaders in China, Asia, and Africa by developing an innovative, scalable, and intersectionally aware mentorship and training programme. Leveraging an AI-driven online platform, the project will facilitate highly personalized mentorship pairings and deliver a structured 12-month virtual training curriculum to accelerate leadership trajectories and promote gender equity.

The appointee will play a key role in the implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of the project. Main duties include:

Assisting in the design and development of the 12-month leadership curriculum, resource library, and training materials for mentors and mentees;
Collaborating with technical partners and experts to co-develop and refine the AI-driven matching algorithm based on intersectional frameworks;
Coordinating the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of global mentors and mentees;
Facilitating monthly expert-led workshops and moderating the online digital community forum;
Conducting comprehensive project evaluations, including collecting and analyzing pre/post survey data, interview transcripts, and platform engagement metrics;
Drafting academic papers for submission to high-impact peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at international conferences;
Assisting in the preparation of the final project report and a publicly accessible "Best Practice Toolkit" for digital mentorship; and
Performing other research and administrative duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Education, Psychology, Gender Studies, Leadership Studies, Educational Technology, Data Science, or a closely related discipline;
Strong expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, data analysis, and academic writing;
Demonstrated research interest or experience in women’s leadership, intersectionality, digital learning, or AI applications in education;
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) is an advantage for coordinating with regional partners; and
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
