Job Summary: The Director of Global Sourcing (Production and Quality) Process Innovation and Analytics is responsible for executing global sourcing strategies by strategically designing and continuously advancing business analytics, and digital enablement capabilities across the global sourcing organization and T1 and T2 vendor-partner network. The focus of this job is to ensure advancement of use of digital platforms, analytics frameworks and standardized data models, aiming to provide business insights, innovate the sourcing process and upgrade vendor partners digital and data analytics capability. Final goal is to support our Sourcing Mission of product quality, on-time delivery, optimum cost, and data on Compliance and Sustainability. This position leads the management of business analysis team focusing on partner factories producing footwear, apparel, and materials. This role ensures optimized production and quality processes across a diverse supplier network, leveraging data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Director partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external factory leadership to translate sourcing strategies into digital roadmaps, analytics-driven insights, and scalable process innovations, enabling sustained sourcing efficiency, factory performance, and product quality improvements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 30 % Manage all aspects of the Business Analysis function affecting the manufacturing of footwear and apparel, to include: · Direct global Business Analytics teams to design, govern, and continuously enhance data models, analytics frameworks, and digital performance dashboards supporting manufacturing processes and product quality across Deckers brands · Lead structured experimentation and data-driven process innovation initiatives, leveraging advanced analytics, digital tools, and standardized metrics to identify scalable improvement opportunities. · Initiate and sponsor digitally enabled transformation programs that deliver measurable improvements in production efficiency, quality consistency, and delivery performance. · Provide executive-level engagement with partner-factory owners and Deckers Sourcing / Supply Chain leadership to align on digital roadmaps, analytics maturity targets, and data-enabled competitive advantage programs. · Interface with relevant business owners and project managers for detailed project definition and delivery.
- 20 % Collaborate with all partner-factories under Global Sourcing leadership, in defining strategic priorities which related with data management and digital technology, translating sourcing strategies into clearly defined digital capability roadmaps, analytics priorities, and data-driven initiatives that enable sustained advancement in production efficiency and quality consistency.
- 10 % Provide program-level governance, digital process design guidance, and analytics-driven advisory support to Global Sourcing and partner factories, ensuring alignment with Deckers global data standards, platforms, and transformation objectives.
- 10 % Assist in the definition of project plans and timetables including appropriate milestone definition, in working with the Head of Global Sourcing and Production Operation, Head of SCoE & Business Planning and all Sourcing and Production Operation Functional Heads on communication strategy, task dependencies and documentation of assumptions.
- 10 % Work closely with all the Heads of Partner-Factories’ Data/Digital teams in monitoring progress, quality and utilization on Production and Quality data.
- 10 % Maintain visibility of all data and digital initiatives roadmap and progress within the overall Deckers that impact Production and Quality. Regularly communicate initiative progress to the relevant partner-factory leadership.
- 5 % Partner with the Director of Technology and Operations to ensure proper support of technology, and production operations.
- 5 % Direct and manage the Sourcing Business Analytics Center team, including staff development, training, succession planning.
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree above in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.
· Postgraduate or MBA is preferred.
Certifications:
· Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent project management certification.
· Enterprise, Solution, or Technology Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Certified Enterprise Architect, or equivalent)
Work Experience:
· 15+ years of experience in a technology management role or business process optimization role with demonstrated leadership in driving digital transformation and analytics enablement initiatives.
· Significant experience or exposure working at manufacturing facilities across multiple countries and entities, including hands-on engagement with factory digitalization, production systems, and quality data integration.
· Proven background in leading or supporting enterprise data, analytics, and digital platform programs (e.g., manufacturing execution data, quality analytics, performance dashboards, or process automation) within Global Sourcing or Supply Chain organizations.
· Experience or exposure in footwear, apparel, and accessories products preferred.
Skills:
· Significant staff management and development experience.
· Solid project management and implementation methodology experience.
· Ability to drive projects from idea to completion, including analysis of benefits realization.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Strong understanding of a wide range of business functions within a Global Sourcing and Production organization.
· Ability to present ideas and plans to Senior Management in a credible manner.
· Innovative thinking and leadership with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams, including BIZTEC collaboration with partner-factories.
· Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management, including managed services.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of personal integrity.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and ad hoc requests.
· Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex program and business-interest-related issues.
