Job Posting Details

The appointee will provide clerical and administrative support to the Department. Duties include supporting faculty members’ travel and non-travel related arrangements, reimbursements, conference logistics; liaising with student/research staff and internal departments; arranging research support staff appointments and payments to external guests; handling general office daily operations on a need basis; and performing any other duties as assigned. Working outside normal office hours is occasionally required.

Fresh university graduates and holders of HKCEE/HKDSE/diploma/associate degree with work experience and strong IT skills are welcome to apply. For candidates with secondary school education, they should have at least 5 passes including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A or level 2 if results were obtained from 2007 onwards) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or 5 subjects, including English Language, attaining level 2 or above (or equivalent) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination. Some work experience in local tertiary education institution(s) would be advantageous.

Applicants must have excellent customer service skills; be good team players with good working attitude; and well versed with MS Office applications, including English and Chinese word-processing, Excel, and PowerPoint. A good command of spoken Cantonese, English and Putonghua is expected.

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
