Project Manager, Transformation (12-month renewable contract)

Job Purpose

The role sits within the Transformation Strategy & Delivery team, responsible for delivering change initiatives across the business, and driving enhanced customer and business outcomes.

The Transformation team’s objective is to lead and support the successful implementation of strategic changes across the organization, ensure alignment with business goals, and execute transformation strategies.

As Project Manager, you will ensure transformation initiatives are delivered to specified requirements. You will work with and steer a team of change/project professionals to execute key strategic initiatives on time, within budget, and according to the agreed quality plan. You will also work closely with business owners to facilitate the design and planning of various cost‑optimisation programs and implement new processes and organisational changes as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for delivery of transformation initiatives from ideation, inception, execution, through to closure.
Responsible for delivery of the desired customer journey, including customer and business outcomes, across both the program and individual streams.
Work with a team of business analysts, product owners, and subject matter experts to define business requirements and design business processes for each project within the roadmap.
Responsible for managing and delivering the projects on time, within quality expectations, and within the approved budget.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining ongoing relationships with project stakeholders and internal users.
Recognising and mitigating risks, resolving issues, identifying dependencies, and proactively managing any corrective actions or change requests throughout the lifetime of the programme.
Oversee the project pipeline and work with the core team on project activities.
Track benefit realisation of strategic initiatives within the program.
Work with subject matter experts for successful execution of all aspects of business change delivery, BAU process changes, training, and communications, defining and managing business readiness prior to Go‑Live, including Go/No‑Go checkpoints.
Liaise with control functions such as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit to ensure that solutions meet the company’s regulatory and control requirements.
Responsible for providing regular, accurate, and appropriate reporting and communication to the Sponsor and Steering Committee members to ensure progress status is understood and any associated risks, issues, or changes are recognised, managed, and escalated appropriately when necessary.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Experience in project management and business analysis with a track record of delivering transformation programs/related initiatives, preferably within the insurance industry.
Ability to analyse, communicate, and articulate governance and compliance trends and program requirements.
Experience in delivering digital transformation projects using different project management methodologies in complex environments.
Experience in vendor management for project delivery.
Experience in finance, insurance (bancassurance), or healthcare‑based business sectors.
Strong stakeholder management skills and communication strategy.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel across the organization.
Good understanding of insurance operations across functions such as Policy Administration, Claims & Customer Services.
Detail‑oriented and process‑driven individual with strong analytical and data presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and strong formal presentation abilities.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with strong commitment to working and thinking collaboratively.
Good understanding of customer experience relating to transformation change; passionate and customer‑led mindset with a drive for transformation success.
Recognised project management qualification is preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master).
Experience in bancassurance is preferred.
