Accountant - Group Treasury

Process treasury transactions, ensure timely and accurate payments
Monitor and manage daily cash positions
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in treasury management

Accountabilities – Key Result Areas

Transaction Processing: Process treasury transactions, including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and foreign currency transactions. Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and other stakeholders.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Intercompany Fund Transfers: Oversee and manage fund transfers between intercompany accounts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Payroll Management: Review monthly payroll reports to ensure accuracy and facilitate timely payments.
Cash Management: Monitor and manage daily cash positions, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic initiatives.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports for the head of finance and the board on cash positions, liquidity, and treasury performance.
Forecasting: Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to predict cash needs and identify funding requirements.
Bank Account Management: Coordinate the opening of new bank accounts and corporate card ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the completion of annual compliance checks related to bank accounts.
Issuance of Bank Guarantees: Coordinate the issuance of bank guarantees specifically for new store lease agreements. Liaise with banks to facilitate the timely processing of guarantees and manage associated documentation.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with foreign exchange, interest rates, and credit exposure.
Banking Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize financing arrangements and banking services.
Policy Development: Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Experience / Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in treasury management or corporate finance.
Experience with e-banking platforms and electronic payment processing is required.
Strong understanding of cash management, financial instruments, and risk management techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
