GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT OFFICE

Global Engagement Officer (Marketing & Communications) (Temporary Appointment) (Ref. 260116004)
[Appointment period: six months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) execute digital and marketing communications publicity activities, including running social media and advertising campaigns as well as managing the channels;

(b) create marketing communications ideas and content across multiple platforms and channels in alignment with the University’s marketing and communication strategy, including but not limited to social media posts, collaterals, brochures, press releases, videos, and any promotional materials;

(c) monitor and analyse the performance of marketing communications activities, prepare reports and propose recommendations for improvement;

(d) lead creative production projects and guide creative teams, including videographers, graphic designers and writers;

(e) collaborate with internal and external stakeholders;

(f) provide support to ad hoc projects; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Engagement or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Design, Journalism or a related discipline;

(b) have preferably three years’ relevant work experience;

(d) be digitally savvy, with knowledge of the latest digital marketing technologies and trends in Hong Kong and international markets being a definite advantage;

(e) have a proven track record in marketing communications, publicity and social media management for achieving impact, with knowledge of web and social media analytical tools such as Meta Business Suite and Google Ads;

(f) have a proactively can-do and problem-solving attitude, be an independent team player and reliable with communication and project management skills; and

(g) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit job references and sit for a written test and a basic design test.
