Contract Systems Consultant

Project Nature:

To manage IT projects, provide system support services, and handle security and network matters.

Duties:

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the OFCA;

The candidate will be mainly responsible for:

managing network infrastructure including network appliances and firewalls;
managing security matters including configuration of all servers and network appliances, and end-point protection solution;
conducting in-house security assessment and security training, managing security assessment and audit service as well as compliance audit/check by external parties;
providing support for security incidents;
reviewing and executing tasks under Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan;
providing technical advices to support business requirements;
engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to meet the business objectives; and
carrying out other technical and administrative duties as specified by the management.

Requirements:

Candidates shall have

at least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification full-time IT working experience, of which two (2) years must be in a similar post and in a comparable capacity;
at least two (2) years of full-time hands-on experience in implementation, maintenance and administration of network facilities such as firewall, virtual private network, router, switch, etc.;
at least two (2) years of full-time hands-on experience in IT security management (security risk assessment and audit, penetration test, security document review, security training, implementation of security systems and safeguards, etc.); and
valid certificates of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);
Candidates should be customer-oriented and able to perform under pressure, willing to work after office hours and occasionally working on an on-call basis as required.

Preference will be given to candidates who are holders of the following certificates or equivalent:

Cisco Certified Network Associate / Professional
Fortinet Network Security Expert 5
Palo Alto Networks Certified Next-Generation Firewall Engineer
Information Security Management System (ISMS) (e.g. ISO 27001)

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in using the following technologies / products:

Network equipment / technologies such as load balancer, Wi-Fi, Internet Protocol version 6, etc.
Network monitoring / management products such as Zabbix, PRTG, etc.
Security systems / technologies such as Next Generation Firewall, Intrusion Protection System, Web Application Firewall, Network Detection and Response, Public Key Infrastructure, anti-malware, anti-spam, end-point security, content delivery network, IEEE 802.1x, etc.
Mobile Devices Security
Criminal record check on the selected candidate will be required.

Technical Skills:

At least 2 years' experience in Router Configuration;
At least 2 years' experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit;
At least 2 years' experience in Security Incident Detection and Handling;
At least 2 years' experience in IT Security Scanning Tools;
At least 2 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products;
2 years' experience in Endpoint Security Solutions is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Network & System Management is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Virtual Private Network is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Wireless and Mobile is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government;
At least 1 year's experience in conducting IT training/briefing;
2 years' experience in managing Government projects is an advantage;
2 years' experience in IT service/outsourcing management is an advantage;
Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
