Head of Operations (Hong Kong)-A leading global FinTech brokerage

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all daily operations for the Hong Kong entity, including trade execution support, securities settlement (DVP), fund clearing, and client account management.

2. Ensure all operational activities strictly adhere to SFC regulatory requirements for Type 1, 2, & 3 licensed activities. Act as or support the appointment of a Responsible Officer (RO).

3. Design, implement, and enhance the operational risk control framework. Proactively monitor trade anomalies and operational risks, reporting to senior management and regulators as required.

4. Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team. Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

5. Manage key external relationships with banks, clearing houses (e.g., CCASS), and internal compliance teams. Serve as the point of escalation for major operational incidents.

6. Partner with product and technology teams to design and test operational workflows for new product launches, ensuring robust and compliant rollout.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 10 years of operations experience within a securities brokerage or fintech environment, with at least 5 years focused on the Hong Kong market.

3. Extensive hands-on expertise in trade execution (dealing) and post-trade settlement processes is essential. In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong clearing rules (CCASS) and market practices is required.

4. SFC Responsible Officer (RO) accreditation for Types 1, 2, and 3 is a strong advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.

5. Proven experience in building and managing high-performing teams. Must be detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

6. Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
