Senior Fund Accountant - USD 2 billion AUM

Our client is a growing buy-side investment management platform focused on alternative investments. Due to business expansion, they are seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen their finance function and support the firm's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily finance and accounting operations for investment funds and management companies.
Review NAV calculations, fund accounting reports, and investor reporting prepared by fund administrators.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HKFRS/IFRS.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, custodians, and regulatory bodies.
Monitor fund expenses, management fees, performance fees, and investment transactions.
Support regulatory and compliance-related financial reporting requirements.
Prepare management reports and financial analysis for senior management.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning.
Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies.
Participate in process enhancement initiatives and system implementation projects.
Support fundraising activities, investor due diligence, and ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
8-12 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on fund accounting and fund finance.
Currently working as a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, Fund Accounting Manager, Assistant Vice President (Fund Accounting), or Senior Fund Accountant.
Hands-on experience with fund accounting, NAV review, financial reporting, fund audits, and oversight of third-party fund administrators.
Experience gained from asset managers, hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, or leading fund administrators (e.g., Citco, SS&C, Apex, Alter Domus, IQ-EQ, Maples).
Strong understanding of investment products, fund structures, investor reporting, capital activities, and alternative investments.
Proficient in IFRS/HKFRS and financial reporting standards.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
