H3C Network Engineers – Junior and Lead Levels

Project Environment: Large-scale healthcare network infrastructure

We are looking for several H3C Network Engineers at both Junior and Lead levels to support a major healthcare infrastructure project in Hong Kong.

The engineers will be responsible for implementing, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting H3C-based network infrastructure across a large and business-critical environment.

Junior H3C Network Engineer

Key responsibilities:

Provide daily operational support for H3C switches, routers and related network infrastructure.
Perform device installation, cabling checks, configuration, testing and commissioning.
Monitor network availability, performance and system alerts.
Troubleshoot connectivity, VLAN, routing, switching and network performance issues.
Support network changes, upgrades, equipment replacement and maintenance activities.
Conduct first-level diagnosis and escalate complex incidents to senior engineers or vendors.
Update incident tickets, network records, configurations and technical documentation.
Provide onsite support across designated project or hospital locations when required.
Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance activities where necessary.

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Approximately 1–3 years of experience in network implementation or operational support.
Practical understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, link aggregation, routing and switching.
Exposure to H3C switches, routers or network management platforms is strongly preferred.
Candidates with experience in Huawei, Cisco, Aruba or similar enterprise networking products may also be considered if willing to work with H3C.
Able to perform basic troubleshooting using logs, monitoring tools and command-line interfaces.
Good communication skills in Cantonese and English.
Willing to provide onsite and after-hours support when required.

Lead H3C Network Engineer

Key responsibilities:

Lead the implementation, migration, operation and support of H3C network infrastructure.
Plan and oversee network configuration, testing, commissioning and production cutover.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network incidents and performance issues.
Provide technical leadership and escalation support to junior engineers.
Review network designs, implementation plans, configurations and change procedures.
Coordinate with the customer, project managers, vendors and other technical teams.
Manage network incidents, identify root causes and prepare corrective-action reports.
Ensure network changes follow approved change-management and security procedures.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, operational procedures and reports.
Support capacity planning, network optimisation, resilience testing and lifecycle activities.
Lead planned maintenance and critical incident recovery when required.

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Approximately 6–10 years of enterprise networking experience.
At least 2–3 years of hands-on exposure to H3C network products is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies, including VLAN, STP, VRRP, link aggregation, OSPF and BGP.
Experience supporting high-availability and business-critical network environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills across network devices, links, protocols and applications.
Experience leading engineers, coordinating technical activities and managing escalations.
Able to prepare implementation plans, method statements, test plans and incident reports.
Good stakeholder-management and communication skills.
Good command of Cantonese and English.
Relevant H3C or equivalent professional network certification is advantageous.

Preferred experience

Healthcare, government, public-sector or other mission-critical environments.
Large campus, data-centre or multi-site network infrastructure.
Network monitoring and management platforms.
Firewalls, wireless networks, network access control or load-balancing technologies.
ITIL-based incident, problem and change-management processes.
Network migration, technology refresh or large-scale rollout projects.
