Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a highly motivated and Chartered Structural Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading, managing, and delivering structural engineering projects, ensuring excellence in design, technical review, project supervision, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, project schedules, and budget requirements.
Provide leadership, oversight, and technical guidance to project teams, including resident supervisors, team assistants, and other project personnel.
Conduct structural design reviews and provide technical expertise for site works and construction activities.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved successfully.
Oversee the detailed design and delivery of various infrastructure and building projects.
Ensure compliance with local and international design codes, standards, and regulations, including seismic design and environmental requirements.
Manage and supervise technical reviews, design audits, and value engineering/alternative design assessments for civil and structural works.
Prepare and present project proposals, technical reports, and other project documentation to clients and stakeholders.

Here's what you'll need

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
Corporate Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) or equivalent professional institution.
Extensive experience in civil engineering, including project management and design review.
Proven track record of managing large-scale building and infrastructure projects
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in liaising with government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
