About the Role
We welcome applications from candidates at both Engineer and Senior Engineer level. The final appointment title will reflect the candidate’s experience, technical depth, level of autonomy, and ability to contribute to project delivery.
As an Engineer / Senior Engineer ICT/SAS with Artelia Airports in Hong Kong, you will join a growing APAC team delivering ICT and airport technology solutions for complex aviation projects. You will work with engineers, project managers, and architects in a collaborative environment, contributing across design, coordination, and project delivery.
• Report functionally to the ICT / Airport Systems Team and operationally to the assigned APAC Project Manager / Consulting Team, depending on project assignment.
• Act as a key contact for ICT / SAS coordination on APAC projects, supporting technical production and design activities as required.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Design
• Develop Concept, Schematic / Basic, Detailed, and Tender Design deliverables for ICT and airport technology systems.
• Prepare and/or coordinate:
o design reports
o technical notes
o specifications
o system architecture diagrams
o single-line diagrams
o equipment room layouts
o typical installation details
o interface schedules
o equipment / point schedules
o bill of quantities (BoQ)
• Contribute to system sizing, equipment room planning, spatial planning, and engineering coordination for ICT and Special Airport Systems.
• Coordinate ICT requirements related to space, racks, containment, power, cooling, and multidisciplinary dependencies.
• Ensure designs are aligned with:
o project brief and employer requirements
o operational needs
o airport / aviation functional requirements
o applicable standards, codes, and authority requirements
o company design methods, templates, and QA procedures

• Depending on project needs, the role may cover one or more of the systems below. Candidates are not expected to be deep specialists in every area but should have a solid understanding of ICT / airport systems, interfaces, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information, Networks, Systems, or a related engineering discipline. A Master’s degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
Experience
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in ICT, telecom, ELV, airport systems, or related engineering disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in an airport project environment is preferred
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is valuable:
o ICT / telecom design
o ELV / security systems engineering
o airport systems coordination
o technical design review
o multidisciplinary coordination
Strongly Preferred
Experience in projects involving:
• airport terminals
• airside / landside operational environments
• common use / passenger processing environments
• security and operational interfaces
• telecom / OSP / structured cabling / equipment room planning
• airport systems integration environments
Technical Competencies
• Good understanding of ICT infrastructure design principles, including:
o structured cabling
o fiber backbone
o ICT spaces / telecom rooms
o passive network infrastructure
o active network infrastructure
o containment and pathways
o equipment coordination
• Good working knowledge of:
o CCTV
o Access Control
o Wi-Fi / LAN support infrastructure
o DAS / radio provisions
o FIDS / signage / airport operational technology support infrastructure
• Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination in building / infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and review drawings, technical documentation, test reports, etc.
• Good appreciation of systems interfaces and integration dependencies.
Standards / Knowledge Areas
Familiarity with relevant industry frameworks and standards is an advantage, including:
• TIA / ANSI / ISO / IEC for structured cabling and telecom infrastructure
• BICSI good practices for ICT design and installation
• General ICT / network / telecom design principles
• Airport and aviation project environments
• Applicable local authority / telecom operator / security requirements depending on project location
• Basic understanding of design assurance, testing, commissioning, and document control processes
Software / Tools
Familiarity with the following tools is preferred:
• AutoCAD
• Revit / BIM coordination environments
• Visio or equivalent diagramming tools
• Basic project collaboration platforms / document management systems

Travel / Work Pattern
