Business Function

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

• Process customer information enquiry requests and handle various court orders including account record investigation, preparation of reply letters, debit notes & vouchers; place hold code to deceased/ bankrupt/ winding up customer accounts and Caution List update according to the operation procedures as documented in the Operation Manual/ operation handbook/ SOP and other operational duties as assigned by supervisor ; • Ensure all transactions are properly authorized before processing and meet the requirements stipulated in Operation Manual and report problem to supervisor immediately ; • Process Caution List record maintenance ; • Understand the bank policies on information protection, risk & security control and regulatory compliance and report problem and exceptions to supervisor immediately ; • Coordinate and follow up discrepancy items with relevant parties timely and escalate any exceptions to supervisor ; • Perform GL and system record checking/ reconcilement on timely basis and escalate material difference to supervisor ; • Participate and familiar with the procedures as documented in BCP Plan to ensure operations will not be interrupted due to disaster ; • Provide support in ad-hoc project and assist to conduct testing on various systems enhancements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness in daily operations ; • Handle internal/ external customer compliant tactfully and ensure responsive problem solving for enquiries from branches and other units/ parties within benchmark ; • Understand the result of periodic risk based self assessment and assist to rectify exception/ non-compliance issues as identified properly and timely ; • Cooperate with other team members and supervisor to maintain high team efficiency and effectiveness ; • Assist supervisor to promote staff morale and team culture in order to build up an efficient, knowledgeable and professional back-end operation support team and assist the team to achieve the team's goals ; • Act as various coordinator as assigned by supervisor ; • Escalate material issue or incident to supervisor ; • Maintain self-development to ensure sufficient knowledge is equipped to handle the assigned duties.

Requirement

• University graduate • Compliance related experience is preferrable • Basic legal knowledge and banking operation knowledge relating to Company Law; bankruptcy/ winding up procedures; deceased cases and various types of court orders handlings • Ability to guide individuals and groups towards achieving their goals • Ability to create a receptive working environment to communicate and possess good interpersonal and communication skills • Strong risk awareness and react quickly to mitigate risk • Results oriented and proactive to seek improvement in productivity and operations quality • Specialized academic qualifications or experience in general banking practice and operations management is an advantage. • Good knowledge of consumer banking products as well as consumer /commercial laws and related regulatory rules that impact consumer products • Good command of English & Chinese • Good PC skills in MS office
