Summary

We have been engaged by a prestigious sports apparel group to recruit a Regional Head of Manufacturing Excellence. This senior role will oversee operations across more than 10 manufacturing plants in China and Southeast Asia. Reporting directly to the CEO, the position is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, driving manufacturing excellence, reviewing processes and identifying enhancement opportunities. The role requires occasional business travel to regional sites.

What you will do

Drive production efficiency enhancements by redesigning workflows, balancing production lines and maximizing the use of both labor and equipment
Streamline operations by removing delays, excess materials and activities that don’t add value
Scale success by capturing proven methods and applying them consistently across multiple facilities
Specialized know‑how in advanced apparel manufacturing, including down, seam‑sealed, waterproof and other technical garments
Identify performance insights gained from analyzing key metrics—such as output, learning curves and downtime—and then set clear benchmarks for improvement
Empowering teams by mentoring production, IE, and technical staff, while serving as a trusted advisor to raise overall standards.

What you will bring

Seasoned professional with over 15 years in apparel manufacturing, including a decade in Industrial Engineering and Production leadership
Strong garment manufacturing experience particularly in outerwear
Proven track record overseeing multiple manufacturing plants across different locations
Excellent ability to drive efficiency through operational excellence in line balancing, LEAN practices, SAM/GSD and capacity planning.
Analytical problem‑solver skilled in workflow optimization, bottleneck resolution and data‑driven performance improvement
Technically proficient in ERP, MES, dashboards, Excel and Power BI
Fluent written and spoken communication in Mandarin, English and Cantonese is necessary
Occasional business travel across China and Southeast Asia will be required
