As the Senior Business Analyst, you will hold dual responsibility as both the strategic conduit to our subsidiary markets and the hands-on technical architect of our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) ecosystem.
You will be the end-to-end platform owner at the Global Office. You are expected to get your hands on building, maintaining, and updating complex EPM models while simultaneously bridging the gap between the Global Office expectations and local market deployment. Post-implementation, you will lead the charge in establishing an internal support hub and building long-term capability of our EPM solution for the organisation.
This role reports to General Manager, Financial Services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hands-On Global Office Model Ownership
- Model Building & Architecture: Act as the hands-on configuration expert at the Global Office. Directly build, maintain, and update models, modules, lists, line items, formulas, and dashboards within our EPM solution.
- Data Integration & Quality: With support from IT, own the data flows between core ERPs (specifically SAP), flat files, data lakes, and our EPM solution, ensuring data hubs are robust and reliable.
2. Project Execution & Multi-Market Rollout
- Act as the deployment lead for the end-to-end implementation of our EPM solution across regional markets.
- Own project management artifacts for local market rollouts, including project charters, delivery timelines, and concise, executive-level status reporting.
- Assist in evaluating proposed model designs and solutions, clearly articulating the cost-benefit trade-offs of local customizations versus standardized Global Office governance.
3. Functional Design & Cross-Functional Bridging
- Facilitate functional design workshops with subsidiary markets to capture, challenge, and translate local business planning requirements into technical model specifications.
- Act as the vital liaison bridging business users, data architecture teams, reporting teams, and the core ERP team.
- Ensure the end-to-end planning process—encompassing budgeting, rolling forecasts, consolidation, and management reporting—maintains strict data integrity and consistency between Global Office and the markets.
4. HQ Capability Building & Post-Go-Live Support
- Establish the Support Hub: Lead the design and setup of the internal Global support model to provide ongoing technical and functional assistance to markets once they are live.
- Knowledge Transfer & Upskilling: Develop training materials, documentation, and best-practice playbooks at the Global Office to upskill internal finance team members, building a resilient internal Centre of Excellence (CoE).
- Tier-2 Support & Governance: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex modelling queries or system enhancements originating from local market super-users.
5. Business Partnering & Process Improvement
- Engage confidently with finance leadership to understand and incorporate critical management accounting KPIs into the models.
- Proactively identify operational bottlenecks, challenge status-quo processes where appropriate, and drive continuous enhancement initiatives across the regional planning landscape.
The successful candidate
- Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Finance Consulting, with at least 2+ years of direct, hands-on EPM model-building or implementation experience.
- Technical Skillset: Proven track record of participating in at least one end-to-end EPM or financial planning system implementation as a primary model developer.
- Anaplan Certification: Anaplan Certified Model Builder is desirable.
- Operational Finance Domain Expertise: Strong foundational understanding of operational finance and manufacturing/supply chain concepts, including:
- Standard & actual costing, cost allocations, and profitability analysis.
- Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills. Proven ability to influence and build consensus between corporate head office expectations and localised market realities without direct authority.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
