Project Nature:

(T26) Administer and support the departmental email system/infrastructure and related upgrade/enhancement projects;

Administer and support the Office Automation (OA) systems environment and related upgrade/enhancement projects;

Implement the Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP) for LCSD.

Duties:

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD;

Perform system administration and provide technical support for the departmental email system, confidential mail system, Internet email gateway, mobile email access, etc.;

Plan and monitor the implementation, project schedule and production rollout of related projects such as implementation of Centrally Managed Messaging Platform, etc.;

Participate in the related project management and procurement tasks;

Conduct feasibility study and perform technical evaluation for new technologies or enhancement projects; and

Perform on-call support and other duties as required and work outside normal working hours if necessary;

Perform any other assignments for supporting the OA systems and services of the LCSD; and

Undertake any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Have a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent;

At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory role;

At least 4 years of experience in supporting Office Automation (OA) area;

At least 4 years of hands-on experience in administration and support of email system using IBM Notes / Domino (R8 or above);

Solid hands-on experience and knowledge in anti-virus product and related knowledge, e.g. Trend Micro for Domino, is preferred;

Solid hands-on experience in administration and support of Confidential Mail System especially Confidential Messaging Application;

Solid hands-on experience in mobile email platform, mobile device management, and related products such as iOS/iPadOS, SOTI is preferred;

Experience in eFax software tools, e.g. ExtraFax, RightFax, etc.is preferred

Solid hands-on experience in virtual host environment, e.g. VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, etc.;

Advanced skills and thorough understanding on Microsoft technologies like Windows Server (Windows 2016 or above);

At least 2 years of solid experience in project management with adoption of common project management methodology such as PMP and PRINCE2;

Experience in Microsoft Outlook and implementation of Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP);

Experience in project coordination, especially on large-scale rollout activities, supervising external service providers and service contract administration;

Experience in administration and support Active Directory, file sharing service, antivirus management, Departmental Portal (using New Open Source Departmental Portal II (New_OSDP II) solution) and SharePoint is preferred;

Independent, proactive and able to work under pressure;

Strong analytical ability, management and problem solving skills; and

Possession of certifications of ITIL / PMP / PRINCE2 is preferred.

Technical Skills:

At least 5 years' experience in Lotus Notes Mail Admin. & Technical Support (LNM);

At least 3 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12);

At least 3 years' experience in Confidential Mail System (CMS);

At least 2 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);

At least 1 year's experience in Wireless/mobile Email solution (WME);

2 years' experience in Anti-Spam Technology (AST) is an advantage;

1 year's experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA) is an advantage;

1 year's experience in Departmental Portal (DPS) is an advantage;

1 year's experience in Linux System Administration (LIN) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

At least 2 years' experience in project management (PRM);

At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV);

2 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage;

2 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage;

1 year's experience in managing Government projects (MGP) is an advantage.

Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

At least 8 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
