Establish and maintain robust consolidation processes

15 yrs' media & entertainment industry experience, CPA / ACCA / HKICPA

Reporting directly to the Group CFO and Board of Directors, this role leads a finance team of approximately 30 staff, overseeing financial strategy, regulatory compliance, capital markets activities, investment analysis and overall operational excellence. A key focus of the position is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of group financial reporting across multiple business units and jurisdictions. The role is instrumental in supporting business growth, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving strategic decision-making within a publicly listed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and listing rules compliance requirements
Take full ownership of group financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation across subsidiaries and projects
Oversee consolidated financial statements, annual and interim reports, and regulatory disclosures under HKFRS / IFRS
Lead review and analysis of group results, providing insights on financial performance, variances, and key business drivers
Establish and maintain robust consolidation processes and systems to support scalability and efficiency
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and cash flow management; enhance internal control frameworks
Manage treasury functions, financing activities and cashflow operations
Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management for business planning, expansion, and investment decisions
Liaise with external parties including auditors, legal counsels, investment banks, and regulators (e.g., HKEx)
Oversee taxation and enterprise risk management
Lead and develop a finance team of approximately 30 members, strengthening capabilities in consolidation and reporting
Drive process improvements and digital automation, particularly in group reporting and consolidation systems
Provide financial analysis across key business segments such as film production, TV, concerts, cinema operations and copyright/IP operations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
Holder of member of Qualified accountant such as CPA / ACCA / HKICPA or equivalent
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including:
Big 4 audit background
Solid experience in HK & PRC listed companies
Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role
Strong hands-on experience in group financial consolidation, including complex group structures and multi-entity reporting
Deep understanding of HKFRS / IFRS, particularly consolidation standards and financial reporting requirements
Excellent knowledge of HKEx Listing Rules and corporate governance requirements
Familiar with project-based accounting, copyright amortization, licensing/artist contracts, and event or production cash flow management is a plus
Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and presentation skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
High integrity, resilience, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
