Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting fund accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain books of accounts and accounting schedules
- Perform fund accounting for complex structures (GP/LP, SPVs)
- Prepare regulatory filings and internal reports
- Process payments and manage banking activities
- Support budgeting, audits, and investor reporting
- Maintain documentation in line with internal policies
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Progress towards ACCA, CPA, ACA, or similar preferred
- 3-4 years of accounting experience in funds or asset management
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
- Experience in private equity or fund structures preferred
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and entities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English required; Arabic/French is a plus
