The Senior Manager, IT Operations provides strategic and operational leadership over IT infrastructure, digital workplace, security operations, and IT service management to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable technology services. The role drives modernisation, continuous improvement, and effective vendor governance to support business objectives and regional growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy, Governance & Leadership
- Drive and govern IT strategy and operations by defining and executing the IT Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, and Operations roadmap, leading a hub-and-spoke operating model with strong central governance, standardisation, and effective regional execution.
- Partner with the business as a trusted senior technology leader, translating business and digital transformation needs into secure, reliable, and cost‑effective IT services aligned to regional requirements.
Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Operations
- Operate enterprise infrastructure and Digital Workplace services across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid platforms, ensuring availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain operational excellence through proactive monitoring, performance optimisation, and capacity planning to minimise downtime and meet future demand.
Service Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and manage IT Service Desk and desk‑side support operations, ensuring consistent service quality across all locations.
- Define, measure, and continuously improve SLAs, SLOs, KPIs, and operational metrics using data‑driven insights.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data‑driven insights, automation, and AI‑enabled capabilities (e.g. AIOps, intelligent service management) to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, resilience, and user experience.
Security Operations & TVM
- Oversee IT Security Operations in collaboration with Information Security teams, ensuring effective operational controls, monitoring, and response capabilities.
- Establish and operate Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) processes, including vulnerability scanning, risk prioritisation, remediation tracking, and reporting across infrastructure, endpoints, and platforms.
- Coordinate remediation activities with infrastructure, digital workplace, and regional IT teams to ensure timely risk reduction and operational stability.
Resilience, Risk & Compliance
- Develop, test, and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans, ensuring operational resilience and recovery readiness.
- Embed information security, privacy, and risk management requirements into all IT infrastructure and digital workplace environments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational control standards; proactively manage and mitigate operational and technology risks.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years’ IT experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership, managing regional or multi‑site operations.
IT Operations & Service Management
- Infrastructure, Digital Workplace & Cloud
- Solid experience in managing enterprise IT infrastructure environments, including on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS).
- Good working knowledge of networks, servers, storage, virtualisation, endpoint management, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong understanding of availability, performance, capacity, and lifecycle management in distributed environments.
Security Operations & TVM
- Experience supporting IT security operations, working closely with Information Security teams to ensure effective operational controls.
- Exposure to Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) practices, including vulnerability identification, remediation coordination, and risk tracking across infrastructure and endpoints.
- General understanding of identity and access management, patch management, and operational security controls.
Financial, Vendor & Governance
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT operations budgets, control costs, and oversee vendor and outsourcing arrangements.
- Experience in establishing and enforcing IT operational policies, standards, and procedures.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Strong people leader experienced in managing distributed teams within a hub‑and‑spoke model.
- Clear, business‑focused communicator, with multi‑site industry experience a plus.
- Language
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese) - spoken and written in Putonghua is preferred.
