How you will make an impact:
As the lead of the Community and CSR team in the Corporate Communications Division, the job holder is responsible for the planning and implementation of community service, volunteer and stakeholder engagement strategies and programmes, aligned with Chinachem Group’s vision of ‘Places with Heart’. The role oversees both internal and external volunteer services, CSR sponsorships and donation programmes, driving meaningful engagement and positive social impact across the community.
- CSR Strategy & Programme Management
- Develop and implement Group wide CSR strategies and initiatives in alignment with corporate values, brand positioning and community priorities.
- Lead and manage CSR sponsorships, donation programmes, projects and volunteer services end to end, including donation / sponsorship applications, project planning, promotion, execution, event management and reporting.
- Donation Governance & Committee Secretariat
- Serve as a member of the secretariat to the Donation Committee, supporting donation approval processes.
- Liaise with NGOs on donation applications, coordinate donation projects, and review and evaluate project outcomes and social impact.
- Volunteer Engagement
- Plan, coordinate and oversee internal and external volunteer programmes, ensuring meaningful engagement and alignment with the Group’s community objectives.
- Work with internal stakeholders to encourage staff participation and promote a strong culture of volunteerism.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and strengthen relationships with key community stakeholders, including government officials, District Councils, charitable organisations and other partners, to foster collaboration and create social impact.
- Internal Collaboration & Communications
- Collaborate with various business units to promote the Group’s CSR and volunteer efforts to internal and external audiences.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the CSR team, ensuring effective execution and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for:
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing or a relevant qualification
- Minimum 12 years’ solid experience in CSR, corporate communications, public affairs or other relevant disciplines
- Proven experience in organising CSR initiatives and volunteer programmes
- Excellent written, spoken and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
- Strong leadership capability with a proactive, can-do attitude and a strategic, collaborative and creative mindset
- Demonstrated strength in leading a team, managing complex projects and prioritising time effectively
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays when required
- Knowledge of, and a good network within, local communities and stakeholders (including government departments, District Councils and NGOs) is an advantage
