Our client is a well-established bank with a great presence in Hong Kong. In this role, you will manage the deskside infrastructure and endpoint security, driving stable operations, timely project delivery, and high‑quality user support.
Job Duties:
• Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT deskside technology and endpoint security services • Ensure deskside and endpoint projects are delivered on time and follow internal standards and control procedures • Assist with team budgeting and proposal preparation • Support IT and business users by monitoring system performance and recommending improvements • Oversee deskside operations, including:
• Hardware and software planning and deployment • Daily maintenance and user support • Patch and fix deployment • System monitoring and performance tuning • Security baseline compliance reviews • Problem resolution and capacity planning
• Review end‑of‑support hardware and software, and plan upgrades or replacements • Provide technical advice to development teams, operations, and IT management • Drive continuous improvement for projects and daily support processes • Develop team members' skills and capabilities • Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements • Coordinate with other teams and departments for project delivery and ongoing support • Follow all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk control procedures • Identify, assess, report, and manage operational risks in daily work
Requirements:
• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience • Minimum 8 years of experience managing and administering Microsoft Windows desktop environments • At least 3 years of people or team management experience • Experience in banking or financial services IT projects is an advantage • Project management experience; PMP certification is preferred • Experience managing external vendors and service providers • Strong technical knowledge of Windows environments, deskside hardware, and software • Microsoft and ITIL certifications are a plus • Strong communication skills with good risk awareness • Self‑motivated, proactive, and strong problem‑solving skills • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua is preferred
